Why is my audio not working on zoom windows -Cancel Submit. Thomas Medicielo Independent Advisor. Hello BeverlyToyama1 , Thank you for reaching out!
My name is Thomas M. I would be more than happy to assist you and I hope that my assistance will result in a successful solution to your issue. Since you described in your scenario that the others in your meeting could see you but not hear you and I am assuming that you could hear them , that to me is indicative of an issue with Output.
Instead, you should change the sound settings via the Zoom meeting. You can do this one three ways: 1. Before you join the meeting, you should see an option to test your computer audio. As a rule of thumb, I always check my audio to ensure I can hear the other meeting attendants and that they can hear me. You can test both your speakers and your microphone at this time. If you have the Zoom app installed, you can go to the settings the icon is in the shape of a gear.
Then go to Audio. From there you can change what you need for you Microphone. If you are already in the meeting, you can click on the arrow pointing upwards next to the Mute button. From there you can change speaker and microphone as well as test both. I hope these solutions provided the information you needed. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Regards, Thomas M. Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.
In reply to Thomas Medicielo's post on June 5, Hi BeverlyToyama1, Not a problem. Downloading the audio driver manually and restarting the computer didn't work for me. I've tried it twice now and nothing. I've even tried a complete PC Reset, but still the same problem persists. The only change is the first pair "mic and speakers" in the "audio video and outputs" section, drivers have now successfully migrated their settings. Zoom Community.

It was all working great until I undated to Windows 11 yesterday. Audio mic and speakers are working fine on every other app. Any ideas on how to fix it? Feels like a driver problem. Go to Solution. I had the same issue. Initially, it came with W10 preinstalled. After the upgrade to W11 problems with audio started.
If you will try to upgrade drivers via device manager, you will get a message, that you already have the latest drivers installed. Finally, I went to the official Asus support page and installed the latest drivers from there.
This fixed problem for me. View solution in original post. In audio uncheck something similar to "Noice reducing AI-speaker". I have swedish language. It fixed my problems. My audio worked perfect with any other app, but not in zoom.
Couldnt hear music in zoom when someone shared their screen, only voice. I have the same issue. Sound and microphone giving issues. Works in Google Meet, Slack, Skype etc. Also started after upgrading to Windows Same problem on ZenBook in W The microphone and the speakers do not work together!
If the microphone works, then the sound does not work and vice versa. Sometimes everything works and 5 minutes later the problem reappears!
Same problem as FifoTheHein. Do test all works again, but a few minutes later the same problem. I reverted back to Win 10 and no problems with Zoom.
So clearly an issue with compatibility. I've just stopped using the Zoom Windows app and use Zoom in my browser instead, no issues when used via the browser, Just have to ignore the popup saying you need an app to join the zoom call and then click on. So this is clearly an issue with Zoom rather than Windows 11, seeing as no other apps seem to have this issue.
I fixed this by installing the x64 version of Zoom. I also did that, but for me it didn't seem to help, but I will give it another go. Glad it's working for you. Have you also updated your window to windows 11? Zoom update did not work for me. The only way around the issue that I have found is to connect the audio output to a Bluetooth speaker and then use the laptop microphone. If I try to use the laptop speakers and microphone, it works for a second then the "unrecognised" issue pops back up.
I have recorded a video on the laptop using the inbuilt speakers and microphone and all audio is fine playing movies, YouTube etc. Given that it is across those four platforms, surly it must be a Windows 11 issue? Check my post below in this thread. In short - install the latest drivers from the Asus support page. Changing between external microphone, laptop's built-in, USB DAC headphones, and external webcam mic, works randomly, then fails after a few minutes. Sometimes works for a full hour.
To restore audio, I need to change the speaker to bluetooth, or audio jack then disconnect and reconnect audio on Zoom. AAB6U1 laptop. Very frustrating. It doesn't seem like updated drivers from LG are available at this time Thank you!!! No idea how I would have fixed this without your post. I found in the Realtek Audio Console under Speakers "Speakers Noise Cancellation voice call " turning it off fixed sharing zoom as host and as participant see attachment.
I'm guessing Zoom is considered a voice call and it messes with the video audio. I'm having the same issue and it's now a recurring one. The solution to reinstalling the audio driver is something that's not sustainable, especially if this issue keeps reoccurring. Zoom Community. It's driving me insane. I didn't had any problem on Windows Thank you! Go to Solution. View solution in original post.
Thanks for reaching out! I have escalated this issue internally and once I hear back I will pass that info along. After reaching out I found that Zoom is not yet officially supporting Windows The system requirements page still certainly does not list Windows I have heard many users be able to run Zoom on Windows 11 with no problem, but also numerous cases of users having some trouble of one type or another.
You can stay up-to-date with our blog and release notes! I had the problem resolved by Zoom's Engineering support. It was the Laptops specific audio driver that was not working. Although when I first logged this issue the drivers had been verified, now that I reinstall the driver today things work correctly. There are many UX models listed.
